Big Brand Partnerships for Creative Kitchen

It’s been a busy few months for our community brand, Creative Kitchen, delivering a series of events run in partnership with big name brands and household names.

In mid-August we joined forces with YouTube to deliver a special panel discussion event at Avenue HQ, which gave attendees the chance to learn about how they could use YouTube to support their business growth and marketing.

More than 50 professionals and business entrepreneurs from across the creative, digital and tech sectors in Liverpool gathered to hear from Lucy Banks and Liverpool-based YouTubers Andy Castell and Lucy Woods, who have both successfully built businesses and communities through their individual YouTube channels.

This was followed by Creative Kitchen X Matalan where we hosted the retailer’s tech team away day in the Old Hall at the Cotton Exchange. The eCommerce team spent the day looking at ways the family retailer could work more closely with the city region’s tech and digital community.

Matalan Director of eCommerce, Paul Hornby, said of the event: “Liverpool is our brand’s home and we know that the city region is a fertile pool of tech and digital talent. Working with organisations such as Creative Kitchen, which bring the diverse parts of the creative community together, is key to our strategy and we aim to form strong partnerships that will allow us to recruit the best local talent and create even more opportunities in the city region.”

Finally, in September, was our sold out “Dream Big to Grow Your Business” event, delivered in partnership with Barclays Eagle Labs. Our expert panel, which included Anna Sexton, Enterprise Training Manager at LJMU Centre for Entrepreneurship, Terry Cheesman, tax specialist from Haines Watts,David Verburg, Director at Asentiv and Dan Chesters, business manager at Krome.

The panel highlighted the power of stepping out of your comfort zone and daring to dream and attendees were inspired by their personal stories. They also gained useful insight into aligning vision, business plan and life goals, so they could take steps towards making big dreams a reality.

It’s been a busy few months working with some incredible brands and panellists, bringing our incredibly talented creative, tech and digital community together to share knowledge, experience and best practice. We’re looking forward to even more exciting partnerships, so stay tuned to Creative Kitchen on Twitter for more events!
